Event Planning Part II begins Monday Jan. 19!

Back by popular demand!

Event specialist Cheryl Lawson has developed a follow up to the popular event planning series offered through Riverside Community College's Community Education program.

In nine class sessions, students will dive deeper into the planning, coordinating, and evaluation phases of the event planning process covered in part one. In this course students will learn how to create a request for proposal for an event, plan and conduct a site visit both virtually and physically, and of course we will explore ways to deal with D.I.S.C type clients and co-workers.

"The D.I.S.C communication / personality profile was important in my career development in corporate America, and as an event professional, said Lawson. "Developing a clear communication strategy is a key skill in any profession, and I'm happy to share it with my students".

The second phase of the event planning series will also cover technology trends, selecting and working with speakers, convention center facilities and services, meeting room set up, and more.

As an added bonus, part two of the event planning series will include guest speakers and actual site visits to locations through out the Inland Empire.

Log in today and sign up for part two of the event planning series. Class begins Monday January 19, 2009. www.rcccommunityed.com

If you haven't taken part one of the series, the next class is scheduled for March 9, 2009.
